Kinderhospiz Burgholz

Kinderhospiz Burgholz
Already from the day of the diagnosis of a life-shortening illness, the families of the Bergische Kinder- und Jugendhospiz Burgholz offer advice and assistance to the families. Our house is not only a place of grief and farewell, but also a place of beautiful and happy moments. Moments which also provide happy memories beyond the death of children and adolescents. The Kinderhospiz Foundation Bergisches Land is supported by the Bethe Foundation, the Caritasverband Wuppertal / Solingen and the Diakonie Wuppertal.

Kindertal e.V.

Kindertal e.V.
Kindertal financially supports children and young people living in Wuppertal in poverty or near the poverty line. This happens mostly as individual casework. It is also possible to support projects for poor children in Wuppertal. Kindertal e.V. finances its support for children and adolescents from donations. Donations collected will be spent without deduction for the purpose of the association, ie each donated cent arrives at the children in need. This is made possible because Caritas, Diakonie, Sparkasse and Radio Wuppertal afford necessary administrative work for Kindertal e.V. free of charge. A large Wuppertal auditing company checks (also free of charge) every year the Kindertal accounting.

Förderverein Junior Uni Wuppertal

Förderverein Junior Uni Wuppertal
Children are our future. Giving them the opportunity to carve out a future existence that they themselves can determine in this globalised world is a challenge, opportunity and duty. Even in Wuppertal and the Bergisches Land, this is necessary not only to follow in the wake of the change, but to actively and constructively help shape it. The most important thing we can give children in this context is knowledge and primarily the knowledge of how they can acquire knowledge for themselves. The best and easiest way for them to obtain this is by enjoying learning. If they experience this at an early age, they will be optimally equipped for future challenges and lifelong learning.

Wuppertaler Tafel

Wuppertaler Tafel
Wuppertaler Tafel ensures that no one in Wuppertal goes hungry. Initially, it simply collected food and distributed it to the needy, with no red tape. Since then, the work of the Wuppertaler Tafel has become more varied. It now involves several hot meals each day; doing the rounds in the social aid van; providing the needy with food in the food bank; supervising children in the children's food bank; providing medical treatment in the medical van; clothing, household goods and furniture in the social store; a book shop with a massive selection of genres and much more.

Wuppertaler Förderverein Schulmittagessen e.V.

Wuppertaler Förderverein Schulmittagessen e.V.
Wuppertaler Förderverein Schulmittagessen e.V. supports schoolchildren whose parents' income is too low for them to afford a hot meal at lunchtime. Wuppertaler Förderverein Schulmittagessen e.V. was founded in 2005 on the initiative of the mayor and the syndicate of all-day schools in Wuppertal. The budget oversight committee revoked its consent to the town subsidising school lunches for needy children in all-day schools, which had been common practice until 2005.

Back to Life e.V. - helping those in Nepal and India help themselves

Back to Life e.V. - helping those in Nepal and India help themselves
Back to Life e.V. supports and promotes the improvement of the living conditions of disadvantaged people, currently in India and Nepal, by providing development aid designed to help the people there help themselves. The projects are selected, initiated and brought to life by the founder Stella Deetjen, who has been helping disadvantaged people, especially children, abroad since 1996. This is followed by the phase where the project leaders and partners supervise the projects. This is ultimately designed to result in self-determination and independence for the local population.
